images from my genesis NFT collection ‘comatose’ which i began creating in 2021, and curated then finally minted thru August 2022 comprised of machine learning artworks offering a unique perspective on the concept of intangible data sets. this collection was generated by training a machine learning model on my abstract digital photography from 2005, a period marked by a near-death experience and a week-long coma through this process, the original photographs were transformed into a latent space—an infinite, intangible realm of potential imagery ‘comatose’ represents a small selection from this vast data set, showcasing the transformative power of machine learning and now AI to generate new interpretations and expressions from existing data exploring themes of memory, perception, and the subconscious, ‘comatose' dips into human experience and the boundaries between reality and the dream realm 'comatose' highlights the fluidity and transformative potential of data in the digital age to navigate boundaries between the tangible and intangible, the original and machine generated, the ways in which technology reshapes our understanding of art and creativity
